Radioactive radiation is to be measured on Gotland – looking for volunteers

16 people are to be part of the group that will receive training from the voluntary organization Försvarsudgarnarna. They will not be employed but will be deployed at the county administrative board to be able to be called in at high alert or when the county administrative board needs reinforcements.

“Gotland is special”

– Gotland is a bit special because we are an island. We need to make sure that we have our own resources in case of accidents or other things. On the mainland, you have the opportunity to actually move resources around in a different way, says Alf Söderman, director of defense at the Gotland county administration.

In the clip, you see which equipment will be used and learn more about the assignment.
