Quentin Tarantino crowns this animal horror as the best film

Quentin Tarantino remains busy with his 10th and probably last film as a director. One of his newest side jobs is the podcast The Video Archives. In it, he (of course) talks about movies with his then video store colleague and Pulp Fiction co-writer Roger Avary.

The two recently guest-starred on Cinemablend’s ReelBlend podcast, where Tarantino sang praises for Top Gun: Maverick, among others. He also revealed what he considers the best film of all time. However, he makes one more distinction.

Quentin Tarantino celebrates Steven Spielberg’s classic as the best film of all time

As reported by Slash Film, the director gushes over it on the ReelBlend podcast Steven Spielberg masterpiece Jaws as best movie ever.

I think Jaws is the greatest movie ever made. Maybe not the greatest movie. But it’s the greatest flick ever made. Some stripes still come close to him. But there is nothing “better” than Jaws. It’s the best flick ever made. And it shows how poorly timed most films made before Jaws were.

It should also be noted here that Tarantino, in his statement in the English original distinguishes between the terms “film” and “movie”.. According to his definition, works like Citizen Kane would probably fall under “film”.

Popcorn extravaganza and blockbuster cinema such as Jaws or the Indiana Jones series, Tarantino in turn refers to them as “movies”. For him there is no better representative in this category than Spielberg’s Jaws.

There is still no information about Tarantino’s supposedly final film. After he recently became a father for the second time is, the director is probably taking it slower. You can rent or buy his current hit Once Upon a Time in Hollywood on Amazon Prime. *

Do you think Jaws is one of the best films of all time?
