It was earlier this week that the French presidential couple Emmanuel Macron and Madame Brigitte Macron landed on Swedish soil for a state visit that spanned two days.
The purpose of the state visit is to further strengthen and promote the long-standing, broad and excellent relations between Sweden and France. It also aims to stimulate in-depth collaborations in areas such as innovation and green conversion as well as defense and security in the immediate area, Hovet announced on its website.
Princess Sofia shows the big change after the “nude dress”
On the first evening, they were invited to a fine dinner served in Karl XI’s gallery in the ballroom of the Royal Palace. Among others, a number of Swedish ministers mingled on site, Jacob Wallenbergpolice chief Linda Staaf and Anna Kinberg Batra who came arm in arm with the husband David Batra.

But then what do you offer a French presidential couple for food?
Well, on the menu during tonight’s dinner was:
Calix roe Royal on anchovy and sour cream with chives and browned butter.
Cod loin with ragu on mussels and parsley, terrine on cauliflower, broccoli, dill and jalapeño.
Reindeer with juniper and thyme with glazed beetroot, braised roe and reindeer blood pudding.
And to finish – gooseberry with punch, Tahitian vanilla, cardamom.
The choice of food offered to the French presidential couple has met with some criticism from various quarters. But another thing that stole the focus – it’s Princess Sofia’s shoes.
Princess Sofia’s shoes are sawn
Something that is often in the spotlight is what our elegant royal family chooses to wear on an evening like this. And the gods should know that both rice and roses can be thrown.
Among other things, Princess Sofia was accused of wearing a “nude dress” when there was a state visit from the Netherlands.
Now she has found herself in the fashion firing line again – but this time because of her shoes, which Svensk Damtidning was the first to report if. The discussions took place on the Instagram account @royalfashionpolice.
