The municipality of Houten wants De Houtense Stichting Samen Verder (HSSV) to file a report against the former treasurer. “We believe that it is now up to the board of the foundation. We have also let the board know that. It is its administrative responsibility to take appropriate steps. In concrete terms, this means: filing a report and holding the ex-treasurer liable. “
The foundation itself said earlier that it wanted to complete an internal investigation first. “We have to get all the facts straight and document everything properly before we can report it,” said chair Angela de Swart.
The foundation received a subsidy of 6,000 euros from the municipality last year. With such an amount, according to the general subsidy regulation of the municipality, the foundation must submit a statement of expenditure. That has happened in recent years.
