Postnord deteriorates the service so you are affected

There was quite a storm around Postnord after the CEO Annemarie Gardshol came out with a demand for a reduced requirement for postal delivery.

According to Gardshol, Postnord cannot meet the requirements that exist today, and instead wants to have a five-day delivery time for letters. The demand caused the Swedes to rage, and X was flooded with negative comments.

Here you can read about the customers’ rage against Postnord’s new requirements.

Postnord shockingly increased postage

On January 1, the price of stamps was also raised. Today, an ordinary domestic stamp costs SEK 18, which can be compared to the fact that the postage for an ordinary letter was SEK 6.50 in 2016.

Now new changes are coming from Postnord, which also mean worse service for the Swedes.

This applies to areas with “low parcel volumes and large geographical distances”, where the distribution of parcels will take place less frequently, writes Postal code. In the future, the delivery will take place in connection with the mail delivery every other day, which means half a day longer delivery time.

“The goal is to reduce the costs of providing the universal postal service and to reduce the environmental impact,” writes Postnord.
