Post Malone buys “Magic the gathering” cards for millions

The American singer Post Malone has made a substantial investment.
He has bought the extremely rare “The One Ring” card from the card game “Magic: The Gathering” – for at least SEK 20 million, The Gamer reports, among other things.

The card, which has only been made in a single copy, was made for a special Lord of the Rings version of the game and was released in June.

When the card was then found, the bidding began, and there were no pennies on offer.

Bidding began when Chicago Bears player Cassius Marsh Sr. offered the owner $150,000 for the card. The offer also included a trip to California with him where they would “have an incredible time”. A bid that was accused of being a bid of shame.

Bidding continued. Eventually, a Spanish gaming store offered $2.18 million, including a trip to Valencia, for the card.

Spent at least two million dollars

On Tuesday, a video was published on social media where the owner of the card, in tears, handed over the precious possession to Post Malone and the two were greeted with a hearty hug.

“I’ve been playing Magic: The Gathering since I was a kid and of course it would be great to keep this card. But for a guy like me, being able to sell it is life-changing. I really hoped it would go to someone who would appreciate it as much as I do,” says the seller, according to The Gamer.

How much the final sum landed on is not official, but betting sites state that the sum landed at at least two million dollars. Some information claims that the card was sold for 2.6 million dollars, which is equivalent to 28 million kroner. According to reports, it is the highest sum ever placed on a card from “Magic: The gathering”
