A large group was followed for almost the entire race in Val di Fiemme where the snow was pouring down. Only at the end did a trio break free. The fastest was Erik Valnes, Norway. So I was prepared for some downhill driving and was glad that Cyril picked up the pace. So I was alert and hung on and had a golden position towards the end, says Poromaa.
