A 13-year-old girl who is placed in a Sis home outside Linköping was shot with a stun gun in connection with a police intervention on Thursday, Corren reports.

The police were called to the home after the girl behaved violently and, among other things, threw chairs during an argument with the staff.

– They called the police, who came in immediately and gave me three warnings to let go of the chair. But I wanted to talk to the manager. Then they shot me twice with a stun gun, the girl told the newspaper.

Police spokesperson Johnny Gustavsson confirms the incident.

– We got in touch with the child and a threatening situation arises where our policeman makes an assessment of needing to fire this “taser” to stop a criminal act, a threat to an official, says Gustavsson.
