A death in Waterford is under investigation by Ontario Provincial Police.
Norfolk OPP responded at about 8:19 am Sunday morning to reports of a death at a residence on Mechanic Street.
“There is believed to be no threat to public safety. Residents in the area of the investigation can expect to see an increased police presence,” police said in a media release.
The investigation is being conducted by Norfolk OPP Crime Unit under direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, said the release. The Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Services are also assisting.
