Police briefs: One person dead after two-vehicle crash near Staffa

A 58-year-old died following a two-vehicle crash that sent four to hospital, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police said.

Police, Perth County paramedics and West Perth fire services responded to the collision on Perth Road 180 between Line 26 and Line 28, near Staffa, on Wednesday just after 2 pm

Perth Road 180 was temporarily closed while members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team assisted Perth County OPP with the investigation.

Tools stolen

Perth County OPP are looking for information after $5,000 worth of tools was reported stolen from a construction site in Listowel.

Police were called March 19 just after 7 am to a break-and-enter on Nichol Avenue South. It’s believed the tools were taken some time overnight.

Missing tractor

Police are looking for a tractor that was reported stolen from a business in Perth East.

Perth County OPP were called March 20, just before 7 pm, after a Kioti compact tractor went missing. Police believe the tractor was taken some time between 4 pm on March 18 and 4 pm on March 20.

The orange tractor has an attached Kioti loader and is worth $23,000.
