The 2024 Polestar 2 was officially unveiled in January but lacked announcement availability and US prices. At that time the company European version only introduced and has so far only shared pricing information for the European market.
Starting with the entry model for the US market Polestar 2 Long Range Single Engine, with prices starting from 46,500 €. The 220 kW (299 hp) electric motor is powered by an 82 kWh battery – the result is an updated EPA rating of 515 km and a 0 to 97 km/h acceleration time of 5.9 seconds. Blind spot monitoring, cross traffic alert and brake assisted steering assistance, 360 degree camera systemparking sensors and auto-dimming mirrors are now standard.
The RWD Polestar 2 adds up to 205 kW DC charging, the additional Plus Package costing €2,100, a full-length glass roof, energy-efficient heat pump, premium sound from Harman Kardon, heated steering wheel and front seats. The new and improved in-flight air quality system, which is part of the package, is better than the previous model. 1,900 € cheaper.
Twin Engine version starting from 51,500 € and it comes with a slightly smaller 78 kWh battery pack. The two engines deliver 310 kW (421 hp) and, thanks to 740 Nm of torque, the new Polestar 2 can accelerate from 0 to 97 km/h. arrives in just 4.3 seconds. The EPA rating for this model is 444 km and the battery supports DC charging up to 155 kW. used to be optional Pilot Packnow comes standard with this model and offers Pilot Assist, adaptive cruise control with emergency braking, rear collision warning and mitigation system and LED fog lights with cornering function.
If the Dual Engine version is not fast enough, customers Performance Package may prefer. This package increases power to 335 kW (455 hp) and Brembo brakes offers. New forged alloy wheels with Öhlins DFV fully adjustable shock absorbers are part of the package. Mandatory yellow seat belts are part of the Performance Package, with various gold accents throughout the vehicle. Unfortunately Polestar did not share the price of this package – It comes with a premium of € 6,500 in Europe.
