Poland is far behind many other countries in the EU when it comes to renewable energy.
Around 70 percent of the country’s energy mix still comes from coal power – and around half of the country’s households get heat from burning coal.

But as the Russian coal has been sanctioned, and the price has skyrocketed, the Poles are starting to think about other solutions – one of them is Rafa Panczak.

Rafa has chosen to switch to a new heating system, and installed both solar panels and a heat pump.

– The environment is the reason. It’s very important. For us. For our children. For our animals. For the whole earth, he tells TV4 Nyheterna.
