Pokémon GO shows replacement event for broken C-Day, positively surprises trainers

The Community Day with Squirtle will be repeated in Pokémon GO with a replacement event. Trainers are happy about the execution and are surprised by the generosity.

Why is there a replacement event? Community Day with Schiggy took place on July 9th. Many players were looking forward to the event, because there were Shinys, special attacks and Schiggy with sunglasses. However, login issues at the Pokémon Trainer Club meant that players were unable to use the event.

Niantic now showed what the redemption event will look like. We present you the details and the reactions from the community.

2nd Community Day with Schiggy in July – start, bonuses

When is the 2nd Community Day with Schiggy? Sunday, July 23, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.

Who can participate? All coaches can participate. The Redemption Event is running all over the world.

What bonuses are there?

– Many Squirtle appear in the wilderness
– If you evolve Schillok into Turtok, it learns the Aqua Howitzer charged attack (works from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.)
– Field research on Squirtle brings you encounters with Sunglasses Squirtle
– A €1 special research on the C-Day Classic with Squirtle is active
– Eggs placed in incubators during the event will hatch four times faster
– If you activate Lure Modules during the event, they will last for 3 hours
– If you activate smoke during the event, the item lasts for 3 hours (daily smoke does not count)
– Snapshots bring you more Squirtle Encounters

Coaches find execution ‘surprising’

What are the players saying? The compensation event is being discussed diligently on Reddit. During the original Community Day there was a bad mood because of the login problems. Now the tide is turning to the positive:
