Special research with Lapras: You can pick up a new special research in the event. Blanche will guide you through this quest, at the end of which you should get a special Lapras. It wears a little bow on its head.
The Lapras can also appear as Shiny. Niantic emphasizes in the announcement that this special accessory lapras can only be obtained through special research during the current season.
So you have one shot at the Shiny version of this Looped Lapra. As usual, it is up to luck whether the dazzling variant appears.
Development Bonuses: The event revolves around the theme of “development”. Corresponding field research around developing and catching Pokémon should be available in the event, which will bring you stardust and development items.
