Pokémon GO: Community Day with Fynx in May

Sunday, May 21, 2023 is Community Day with Fynx in Pokémon GO. You can find out everything about the bonuses and how to use them here.

What is this event? Community Day takes place regularly every month and always puts the spotlight on a specific Pokémon. You can find this throughout the game during the event period and the shiny rate is also increased.

In addition, additional bonuses will be delivered that you can take advantage of during the event.

This month, the Fire starter Pokémon of the sixth generation of the game takes the place of the event monster: Fynx is the star of the Community Day.

We show you all information about the event here.

Who is the Community Day with Fynx worthwhile for?

Can Fynx be shiny? Yes, Fynx is available as Shiny on Community Day and will have an increased Shiny Rate. So the day is worth it for collectors of shiny Pokémon.

This is what it looks like:

The Fynx Family as Shiny

How strong is Fynx? Basically, the last Fynx development Fennexis does not play a major role in PvP. It gets a little stronger with the exclusive attacks, but is overtaken by other, better fire attackers in Pokémon GO.

A list of the best attackers in Pokémon GO can be found here.

So the day is especially worthwhile for players who want to expand their Shiny collection or value collecting as many four-star Pokémon as possible. The Community Day is always a good opportunity.

Preparation & tips for the Community Day with Fynx

Prepare space: Want to catch lots of Fynx specimens? Then make space in the collection beforehand so that you don’t have to send monsters on Community Day.

Use the filter function for this: For example, if you enter the search terms “0*, 1*, 2*”, only monsters with 2 stars or worse will be displayed. You can then send them.

Mega Pokémon for more Candy: If you use a Mega Evolution during the event, you will get additional candies. Used for the Fire Pokémon Fynx:

  • Mega Charizard X
  • Mega Charizard Y
  • Mega Dogemon
  • Mega Lohgock
  • Proto-Groudon
  • Which items should I use? If you want to improve the bonuses of the day, use the following items:

  • pineapple berriesto get more candies. This helps with leveling and evolving Fynx, but also applies to monsters you catch in the raid.
  • Smoke & Lure Modules last for three hours and ensure further encounters with Fynx. Use the smoke when you’re on the move and the Lure Module when you’re staying in one place.
  • star piece: There are already triple Catch Stardust for each monster you catch in the event. But with the Star Piece you get even more – and more Stardust is always good.
  • Balls: Make sure you have enough balls in stock to catch the monsters.
  • By the way, a completely new item will be coming to Pokémon GO next week: the master ball will be introduced.
