Players think highly anticipated zombie game is a scam – developers are now announcing beta to convince them

The developers of the survival game The Day Before are announcing a beta so that you can test the controversial game before the release.

What kind of game is this? The Day Before is a survival game in which you fight to survive during a zombie apocalypse. A gameplay video showed shooter elements early on, and the video triggered a hype about the game at the time.

In addition, according to the developers, PvP should be an important part of the game.

Why do some think The Day Before is a scam? Some players do not believe that The Day Before game actually exists. A number of developments led to this assumption.

The survival game was postponed a few times after it was originally supposed to be released in June 2022. It even disappeared from Steam.

Most recently, the release date changed from March 1st to November 10th, 2023 because the game is fighting allegations of copyright infringement. Accordingly, Fntastic, the developer studio behind The Day Before, does not own the naming rights that are associated with a calendar app.

Even the latest gameplay trailer could not calm the allegations. The scenes shown were disappointing and looked significantly less interesting than the first trailer. Players then referred to The Day Before as a “walking simulator”.

Here is the first gameplay trailer shown for The Day Before:

Developers announce beta to clear doubts

What are the developers saying now? The developers have now commented on the game’s release on the game’s official Discord server. An April 18 post said the title would be released on November 10 with no further delays.

There will also be a beta test to give players the opportunity to test the game before it is released. However, more information about the beta test will follow at a later date (via Discord).

“As we get closer to the release date, we will start beta testing the game. This will give players a chance to try out the game before release and give us valuable feedback that we can use to improve the final product.” – Fntastic via Discord

It remains to be seen whether there will really be a beta test and whether it can allay the current doubts of the players.

Other survival games like “Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore” made a positive impression with test phases in which players could participate – also with the MeinMMO editorial team:
