Players are losing interest in Diablo 4, but luckily Blizzard may reveal today when things will get better

After a strong start, interest in Diablo 4 is slowly waning. This is normal for games, but there are still many players complaining about their experience with the game on social media. They are waiting for Season 1, for which there will be new information tonight.

Here’s how Diablo 4 is doing:

  • Diablo 4 launched in early June and has delighted many fans with its technical condition and gameplay. Blizzard has apparently even “stolen” its own players.
  • There was great praise for the gloomy world and gameplay, the strong campaign and the varied classes.
  • Now, a month later, complaints about Diablo 4’s endgame are mounting and players are saying they’ll stop until Season 1 starts.

What bothers the players? The biggest criticism of Diablo 4 is currently the endgame. Many players complained about this after just a few days. Fans who gambled less than 6 hours a day are now getting to the point.

Diablo 4’s various endgame activities aren’t varied and rewarding enough. Apart from nightmare dungeons, you can hardly do anything that gets you further, say fans.

A big point is above all the loot. Loot is the main driver for most players in Diablo, but loot in Diablo 4 is simply disappointing for many. On Reddit, a father reports that his sons were ready to quit because of this. Similar threads are piling up there.

The balancing also makes some players prefer to wait and see what the future will bring. With the big patch before Season 1, all classes got a buff and the strength of many builds changed.

However, there were also nerfs that sometimes deleted entire builds, as fans claim. The sorceress in particular seems to have been hit hard. Of all the classes, she should at least benefit the least from the buffs.

Not everyone thinks Diablo 4 is bad because of that. Especially casuals who haven’t seen everything are still celebrating the game. But the criticism is getting louder. The fans say: they look back with Season 1. But it will come soon.

Blizzard reveals today: The next Dev Stream for Diablo 4 will run on Thursday, July 6th at 8:00 p.m. German time. It will be about Season 1. We will probably then finally find out:

  • when season 1 starts
  • what the content of Season 1 is
  • how to proceed with Diablo 4
  • Season 1 is scheduled to start mid to late July. As we still don’t have a date now, the end of July is becoming more and more likely. But Blizzard is also known for surprises, so we don’t want to rule out that they spontaneously scheduled the launch for tonight.
