Player shows a simple trick that you can use to reset your properties for free

A Remnant 2 player found a way to reset your character’s traits without consuming the required item.

What are Traits in Remnant 2? In Remnant 2 you can invest points in the various characteristics of your character. There are a total of 32 different traits in which you can invest up to 85 trait points.

The different traits increase different attributes of your character. Vitality increases your maximum life, expertise reduces the cooldown of your skills and fitness increases your dodge distance.

It can therefore be very important to invest your 85 property points wisely in order to prepare your character as well as possible for your upcoming battles – the skirmishes in the Soulslike shooter can be extremely challenging.

Can you reset your properties? Yes, you can reset your traits with an item called Orb of Undoing and redistribute the points already invested.

The Orb of Undoing can be purchased/crafted from merchant Wallace for 2,500 Scrap Metal and 3 Lumenite Crystals (via fextralife.com).

Player finds way to reset traits for free

A few days ago, Reddit user “NonHeroJC” shared a video on Reddit in which he successfully resets his traits in Remnant 2 using the Orb of Undoing without consuming the item.

How does he reset his properties for free? NonHeroJC initially uses the Orb of Undoing as normal. Then, as he explains in more detail in a comment, he performs an evasive roll and spams the corresponding button on his controller.

Dodge roll allows the player to cancel the animation where the Orb of Oblivion is normally consumed.

The item remains in the inventory accordingly and can be used again at a later point in time. This made the properties reset kind of free.

Is there anything to consider? Yes, the Reddit user’s trick is an exploit that was not intended by the developers of the shooter. It’s entirely possible that the trick will be patched and won’t work in the future.

In addition, when using exploits, it must always be borne in mind that it is up to the developers to take any measures against players who deliberately made use of the exploit – even if no other players were harmed by an exploit.

Another thing many developers don’t like is data mining, but the studio behind Remnant 2 has come up with a special surprise in this regard:

For a secret class in the Steam hit Remnant 2, players had to do something that other developers banned you for
