A plane from the travel company Tui on its way from Gothenburg to Phuket in Thailand has been forced to return due to a technical fault, reports Aftonbladet.

According to the newspaper, the plane had reached Azerbaijan when the error was discovered. The plane with approximately 330 passengers, which took off at 2 p.m., is expected to arrive at Arlanda outside Stockholm at 9:30 p.m.

– It will return and land at Arlanda. There we get to check on the plane and find hotel rooms for our guests, says Adam Györki, Nordic communications manager at Tui, to the newspaper.

According to Göteborgs-Posten, the Maritime and Air Rescue Center has not received any information that the plane is in an emergency situation.
