The Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently in the middle of the superhero saga’s biggest villain problem to date. In March 2023, it was announced that Jonathan Majors was arrested on domestic violence allegations. In the MCU he was previously as new main villain Kang and had his first major appearances in the first Loki season and in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Now an insider has revealed a new rumor that would completely overturn the future of the MCU and, above all, the plans for Avengers 5: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers 6: Secret Wars.

As Forbes reports, Joanna Robinson, author of MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios, spoke about the future of the superhero universe during a podcast appearance. She said that Marvel has reportedly already parted ways with screenwriter Jeff Loveness for Avengers 5. Loveness was already involved in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and especially for that Development of the Kang storyline responsible.
Robinson also wants to know the reason for this: Marvel probably wants to say goodbye to the Kang story.

How can Avengers 5 & 6 continue without Jonathan Majors?
Since Kang is a villain from the multiverse with various variants, Majors could recast with a different actor become. A (somewhat) plausible solution could certainly be developed within the MCU.
A report from CBR also speculated whether the Fantastic Four character Doctor Doom could become the new main villain for the next two big Avengers films.
