Pharmacy reported employee for dangerous mistakes

The pharmacist was hired in the summer of 2021 and throughout his employment has made several dangerous mistakes and made incorrect decisions, the pharmacy states in its report to the Health and Care Inspectorate, writes Nerikes Allehanda.

In total, there are supposed to be 13 different deviations that have caused injuries or risked patient safety, two of which were so serious that they have led to lex Maria notifications.

Among other things, the pharmacist is said to have deliberately changed medications, urged people to stop taking prescribed medication and is also suspected of having caused a child with an ear infection to receive too low a dose of antibiotics, through careless dosing instructions.
