The federal board of the Baseball Federation and the board of Superpesis made their decisions based on Suek’s report.

The Federal Board of the Finnish Baseball Association and the Board of Superpesis have ordered To Petri Kaijansinko A 12-month ban on gambling and stewardship from unsportsmanlike conduct. The union reported on the matter on Friday.

The ban on gambling and stewards has been imposed on the basis of a study carried out by the Finnish Sports Ethics Center. Suek’s study examined Kaijansinko’s operations in Pori in 2009–2011 and in Rauma in 2014–2015. In addition to these, the third case occurred in Jyväskylä in 2017.

– Based on the investigation, the Pori case was found to be out of date. Regarding the new facts related to the Rauma case that emerged during the investigation and the case raised by Jyväskylä, the Federal Executive Board considers that Kaijansinko has acted unsportsmanlike in the manner referred to in the baseball disciplinary regulations, the Baseball Association writes in its press release.

The Baseball Federation says it will continue to campaign against harassment in its own media and is involved in “general sports campaigns.”

After the incident, Kaijansinkko later got a job from Kirittär in Jyväskylä, who was aware of his past. Kaijansinkko was relieved of his coaching and game management duties after the uproar.
