Perttu Hyvärinen put on quite a show in Planica’s World Cup skiing after he realized that he would not be able to keep up with the pace of the top.

Hyvärinen changed skis after the second lap at 14.2 kilometers. After that, Hyvärinen had also complained on the track that he didn’t like the other pair of skis either.

At that point, Hyvärinen asked coach Ville Oksase if he should stop. Oksanen replied that it was Hyvärinen’s own decision.

In the fourth round, Hyvärinen gave up and mostly thanked the fans along the track.

– I prefer not to interrupt. If you interrupt, it’s basically not worth using the style, Hyvärinen commented on his show.

Hyvärinen was involved in winning a surprising World Cup silver in the Finnish men’s relay team.

According to his own words, Hyvärinen was not in shock during personal trips. Hyvärinen was 13th in the 15-kilometer freestyle skiing distance. Tenth place came in the combined race. On that trip, he was on his way to an even better ranking until he crashed.

– In these games, there was no luck in individual trips. The message was a great race, Hyvärinen said and stated that the 50 kilometers “crown personal journeys”.

– You thought the humor of the game would end, but luckily there was humor along the way.

Hyvärinen acknowledged his skiing problem moderately.

– I didn’t fall today, so I didn’t ski (this race), Hyvärinen said.

Before the final moment of the tough racing career, Hyvärinen had dug his eye sockets.

– Planica is a nice place. I’m so homesick that I don’t want to put away the cameras and go home, Hyvärinen said.
