The attack drone that attacked a tanker off the coast of India on Saturday was fired from Iran, according to the US Defense Headquarters, the Pentagon, according to AFP.
No one on board the Japanese-owned vessel was injured in the attack. The attack took place on Saturday morning 370 kilometers off the coast of India. A fire broke out on board but was extinguished.
Neither Iran nor any Iran-backed group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
