In one of the incidents, a patient who was acutely ill rode an ambulance for an hour, without the emergency personnel being alerted. Only when the vehicle was parked in the ambulance garage at Mora hospital did the staff receive the information.
This resulted in delayed treatment because, among other things, there was a lack of the right skills on site, and the patient died.

After the events, the emergency department believes that earlier warnings are required from ambulance personnel that a patient is on their way in, because the emergency department wants to produce a receiving emergency team and be able to work efficiently.
The emergency department in Mora now wants an improved routine around the alarms, by calling the ambulance service or the helicopter service to a meeting where a joint routine is drawn up to facilitate the reception of patients.
The reason according to the paramedics
The ambulance personnel state that the reason for the late alarms was that they were forced to deviate from the current routine due to ongoing fire wall work.
