Parents are asked to send their children a flashlight and blanket

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The risk of local blackouts increases as several nuclear power plants are shut down at the same time and colder weather is expected. In the southern part of the country, municipalities are preparing for possible electricity shutdowns. In Staffanstorp in Scania, all parents with children in schools or preschools have received letters with instructions that the children should bring a blanket and a flashlight with them.

Cold weather and several nuclear power plants that are off at the same time mean that electricity prices are expected to be very high at the end of the week. Sweden is currently being forced to import electricity, and the south is being warned that there MAY be temporary power outages in the coming days.
