A creator is not someone who is locked away somewhere that we never see! It is also to be there, at the service of its product in the purchase and in the advice

Paloma Casile, craftsman and creator of high French lingerie for the eponymous brand.

When we are creative, I believe there are no real limits. The reflection around the furniture, the placements, the plants that we choose, the creation is everywhere, finally, even in the Excel tables. »

Paloma Casile, in high school, affirms her difference by dressing all in black. A position that earned her to suffer school harassment while being a very good student. The dress, the appearance, the style, it’s part of his story. A difficult adolescence as well as a depression and then she discovers the middle of the night. In order to dress, create looks, outfits, she buys a sewing machine: cuts, cuts out and makes her models.

She turned to fashion and discovered model making where she flourished: pattern sheets, 3D vision cutting. Lace, games of transparency, metallic accessories are an integral part of her style and today of her lingerie collections. Tops, bottoms, bodysuits, accessories, scenography at Paloma Casile Nothing is left to chance. The same requirement is required for each collection.

To be more free in trades, you really have to master the basics. The more I mastered the basics, the more I learned to deconstruct them. I knew what to deconstruct because I knew the product by heart. When we understand exactly the material, the work, what we can do to the material, there is a reflection on the elasticity of the material, how far we can pull it, diagonally there are plenty of difference in elasticity in a product. With all the constraints linked to this job, what new can we create? I think it’s also a big part of the creation, that is to say the sewing, normally it’s there, but if we want to put it somewhere else how are we going to do it? If we master this job, it’s easier and more obvious and we can move away from standards. »

At 33, the designer has been practicing the profession of her life for ten years. Beyond the work by hand, the know-how, the craftsmanship, it is also an apprenticeship in kindness to the body.

In intimacy, from the client in the booth to the model, we all have insecurities. We all have dysmorphia and we all need to relearn how to look at our bodies through lingerie, to feel good. When they come out of the cabin, they look at each other and I see their faces light up, that’s why I do this job! Necessarily by echo, it heals inner wounds and I say to myself“me too these are words that I would have needed to hear, I would have liked to be treated in this way”. It is to bring this benevolence in the purchase of lingerie. This is very important because the relationship to the body has been damaged by all previous generations. There is no age, body, ethnic origin that prevents beauty. We are all beautiful and we all belong in a lingerie store. What is important is to want to wear it!»
