Over 200 kidnapped school children in Nigeria have been released

The school children were held captive for two weeks but have reportedly been released unharmed, according to the governor. He thanks Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu as well as the Nigerian Army and security chief are praised.

“I also want to thank all Nigerians who diligently prayed for the children’s safe return. This is a day of joy”, writes Uba Sani.

It was reported on March 8 that students and staff were kidnapped from a school in the region. Last week, the kidnappers allegedly demanded one billion naira (approximately seven million Swedish kronor) to release them.
