Over 20 years since Dawit Isaak was imprisoned: “He didn’t want to leave us”

Ever since the journalist Dawit Isaak was imprisoned in Eritrea in 2001, his wife Sofia Berhane has been waiting for him to be released. In the documentary “Dagar utan dig”, she talks about missing her husband.

– How can I leave him when he is in the dark? He didn’t want to leave us, she says.

The documentary “Days without you” follows Betlehem Isaak’s search for his father, the Swedish-Eritrean journalist and writer Dawit Isaak.
