Oumou Sangaré: “I always have messages to magnify women”

Passing through Côte d’Ivoire, the Malian diva Oumou Sangaré gives two free concerts on the occasion of the Tabaski festival. The opportunity for this artist, a widely popular feminist icon on the continent, to convey her messages: Oumou Sangaré sings about loneliness, raises awareness about child begging and she campaigns for the emancipation of women.


“War is a plague!  My homeland is in danger of disappearing!”, sings Oumou Sangaré on the title “Kélé Magni”.
