Oulu Karpat fills the goalkeeper department with Tomi Karhunens month long

Karhunen will play as Kärppie’s goalkeeper for at least a month.

Keeper Tomi Karhunen returns to Kärppi with a month-long lease. This is to prepare to supplement the team’s goalkeeper department for the upcoming U20 World Cup.

The 34-year-old Karhunen is familiar to the Oulu audience from the past years. He has represented Kärpp in the U18 and U20 leagues, and the goalkeeper played his first League match in a Kärpp shirt in the 2010–2011 season.

In his career, Karhunen has won no less than three Finnish championships. A lot of experience has also been gained from the main leagues of other countries, and the victories in the Swiss Cup in the spring of 2021 can be found among other things.

Kärppi’s goalkeeper coach Ari Hilli is satisfied with Karhunen’s rent.

– It’s great to have an experienced player back who knows and knows the customs of the house. Tomi will be able to help us during the next games and will be involved in the team’s training as soon as today, Monday, says Hilli Kärppien in the press release.
