The image that Russia is systematically violating the laws of war and human rights in Ukraine was further strengthened on Wednesday in a new report from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.

The OSCE believes that Russia is attacking civilians indiscriminately and points to several attacks as serious violations of international humanitarian law.

“We have received evidence that the Russian Federation, in its exercise of hostilities, has generally violated important principles of international humanitarian law,” said Matteo Mecacci, Head of the OSCE Department.

The report has, among other things, looked at an attack at the railway station in Kramatorsk, in eastern Ukraine, on April 8 this year. Russia’s missiles killed a total of 59 civilians here, seven of them children.
