For the Chinese company Huawei, Hungary is currently the most important manufacturing and logistics center in Europe. Hungary has approved the investments of the world’s largest network equipment manufacturer in its country, despite the opposition of the European Commission.
The Commission considers Huawei a threat to information security in the EU. The United States kicked Huawei out of the country in 2019 due to suspicions of industrial espionage.
