There may be up to 30 centimeters of snow and the warning applies in central Svealand, south-western Svealand and Gävleborg county.
There is a risk of power outages, delays in public transport and limited accessibility on the roads.
A yellow warning has also been issued.
According to SVT’s meteorologist Nils Holmqvist, the weather will continue to be unstable throughout the next week.
