Oops! There was accidentally an incorrect showcase in Pokémon GO today

Community Day Classic is running today in Pokémon GO. Unfortunately, Niantic only made a mistake with the appropriate showcase Pokémon.

Today Volti Lamb is the focus in Pokémon GO. You can find all information about the Community Day Classic with Voltilamm here. But there is a small inconsistency with the associated showcase. As Niantic itself reports, they unfortunately made a small mistake. So the showcase Pokémon today is not, as you would expect, Voltlamb – but Squirtle.

Niantic writes on We apologize for the inconvenience.”

Default settings in Niantic’s showcase not adjusted?

There is a fitting discussion on Reddit as to how such an error can occur. The user Brock_Hard_Canuck has a suitable explanation that makes sense in this context.

He writes: “Squirtle seems to be the default showcase Pokémon. So if Niantic sets up a showcase and forgets to set the Pokémon type correctly, it will be set to Squirtle.”

The switch to Voltilamm was apparently forgotten today, which means that today you need a good Squirtle to win the showcases, and not Voltilamm.

What about you: do you use the Community Day Classic? Do you still have a need and interest in Voltilamm, its developments and the exclusive attack for Ampharos? And ideally, do you even have a matching Squirtle to win the faulty showcases?

You can of course find all information about the Community Day Classic here. Even if you want to know what you will find in the 1 euro ticket for Voltilamm Community Day, you will find it with us.
