One detained after the murder of Mogo’s Amanuel Tesfemariam

A person in his 20s has been detained, on probable grounds suspected of aiding and abetting the murder of 23-year-old Mogos in Uppsala last year.
Mogos Amanuel Tesfemariam, 23 was shot dead in a stairwell on his way to his job in home care.
According to information to TV4 Nyheterna, the shots were actually aimed at a relative of Rawa Majid, also known as the “Kurdish Fox”.

Shortly after 05:00 in the morning, the police were alerted that a person had been injured in the stairwell in the district of Sala backe in September last year. A few hours later, the police announced that the person had died from his injuries.

The person shot was 23-year-old Mogos Amanuel Tesfemariam and according to information to TV4 Nyheterna, he was not the intended target. His relatives have previously told TV4 Nyheterna that he was on his way to his job in home care when he was shot dead.

– He woke up early and was going to work and was murdered outside his apartment. It is a deep sadness that will not let go soon, said Robel Eliyas Mesmer, one of Mogo’s relatives.

During Thursday, a person in his 20s was arrested, suspected of aiding and abetting the murder. Charges must be brought no later than April 25, according to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
