We Swedes always have high expectations when it comes to Sarah Sjostrom. But she still manages to exceed all expectations time and time again.

Thorpe’s Tribute

Now the swimming legend says what he really thinks of Sarah Sjöström. And those are really big words that all Swedes need to hear.
– We love Sarah Sjöström in Australia. I think she is probably one of the best, maybe even the best, female sprint swimmer ever, says Thorpe to Radiosporten.
– We Australians respect her so much. She is a top athlete and has done so much for Sweden. It is unique that she can still find the motivation and has done so for so long now and that she can continue to produce record-breaking efforts.

Swedish swimming legend Lars Frölander also uses the biggest words to describe the blue and yellow swimming queen.
– She is a physical phenomenon, Sarah. She has shown that since she broke through. She is so incredibly strong in her swimming and has the ability to constantly develop. The biggest thing is that she is a really good competitive person and that is what makes her a winner, says SVT expert Frölander in Sportspegeln.
– She loves the sprint distances and that is where she finds the driving force. In those distances, I think she can keep going for a long time. We will definitely see her in Los Angeles and I also think there will be another Olympics on top of that.
