Oldest glass objects in the world come to Leerdam Look

Ivo and his team work for the Museum of Antiquities in Leiden. And as is often the case in the museum world, that museum lends objects to another museum – now to the National Glass Museum. In the new exhibition ‘To the Antiques’, the Leerdam exhibition shows how little has actually changed in the glass world in all those thousands of years. How little? “Yes, I was surprised about that too,” says Ivo. “Do you see the difference between this green vase and the other one? One is two thousand years old, the other about ten years old.”
