Nurse worked for 20 years at Östersund hospital without ID

A year ago, the woman was reported to the Inspectorate for Care and Care. She was suspected of having taken drugs classified as narcotics.

In connection with the report to IVO, the woman was also reported to the police by the region. She then chose to resign herself.

During its investigation, IVO discovered that the nurse was not in the National Board of Health and Welfare’s register for certified healthcare personnel.

– It was a bit embarrassing, says Anders Bylander. But it can’t happen again. These days, you can’t get a job if you don’t have ID.

No patient should have been harmed by the nurse’s lack of identification.
