Sapmi shows is part of a three-year project conducted in competence development for Sami entrepreneurs. The reason for starting the project is that you want to gather entrepreneurs from all over Sapmi with the hope of creating a network.
– This is the end of the project where we want to demonstrate the diversity of Sami entrepreneurship, says Ingela Persson, head of business within Sami industries at the Sami Parliament.
One of the entrepreneurs who made it to Östersund only from Kiruna is Karin Vasara.
– It is very important that we are seen, because if we are not seen, we do not exist, she says.
In the clip, you get to meet both entrepreneurs and visitors who were there during the event’s first day.
