Finnish captain Tinja-Riikka Korpela’s disappointment can be felt right from the first answer in the interview.
– I don’t even know what to say after this. This was definitely not the kind of game we would have wanted to play or even close to what we are capable of, Korpela begins.
– In these games, when we play in advance against tougher opponents, we have to be able to keep our basics. Today we had some easy mistakes. We lost balls and the opponent scored too easy goals.
However, Korpela says that Finland must forget the result and Helmarit plans to improve on his weak performance. According to him, Norway’s superiority was especially visible in the duels.
– It really saddens me, because we talked about it a lot before the game, we wanted to be tough in it today.
