North Korea plans to launch three spy satellites over the next year | Foreign countries

The New York Times North Koreas Kim plans to meet

North Korea’s autocratic leader Kim Jong-Un said the country has rejected the possibility of inter-Korean reunification.

North Korea plans to launch three new spy satellites next year, the country’s state news agency KCNA reported on New Year’s Eve.

When listing political goals for next year, North Korea also ranks high on the development of unmanned aerial vehicles, i.e. drones, for military use.

North Korea said in late November that it had successfully launched its first spy satellite after two failed launch attempts.

There is no information about the capability or operational capability of the launched satellite. North Korea claims to have received satellite images of targets in the United States and South Korea. North Korea has not yet released images produced by the satellite.

Kim: The attitude towards South Korea needs to be changed

Autocratic leader of the country Kim Jong-Un underlined that North Korea has rejected the possibility of inter-Korean reunification and said that North Korea must completely change its attitude towards South Korea.

– I believe that it would be a mistake to consider those who declared us as the main enemy as those with whom we would seek reconciliation or unification, Kim said at the last party meeting of the year, according to KCNA.

According to Kim, North Korea must continue to develop its nuclear weapons and form deeper ties with countries that oppose the United States.

By this, Kim probably meant Russia in particular. Kim and the President of Russia Vladimir Putin met in September at the Vostochny space center in the Far East of Russia.

Russia is believed to have assisted North Korea in the country’s satellite project.
