No more COVID delays for London Community Players comedy

On a First Name Basis by Norm Foster, presented by London Community Players

The Play: On a First Name Basis by Norm Foster, presented by London Community Players, directed by Cindi Armer-Almeida.

The Show: This comedy by one of Canada’s foremost playwrights tells the story of a writer, David, who has writer’s block, and his longtime housekeeper, Lucy, both of whom have secrets they’ve kept to themselves until David asks her to stay and have a drink. As the drinks flow and night descends, the truth unfolds.

The Quote: “This show was twice postponed by the pandemic. When you spend 16 months on a show because a pandemic keeps shutting you down, it’s not because you have to; it’s because you want to. That’s what has moved this team forward from the start, our inherent love for this script and the characters written by Norm Foster. Humour, heart and humanity are the ingredients that make this play a must-see.” – director Cindi Armer-Almeida
