Nils Höglander’s success last night – when teammate Elias Pettersson was scoreless

Vancouver star Elias Pettersson, with a new eight-year, billion-dollar contract in his pocket, went off the ice without a point in the game against Anaheim in Sunday’s NHL round.

But Vancouver still won, 2–1, in a battle there Elias Petterssons team-mate Nils Höglander scored his team’s first goal.

Vancouver and Pettersson have had a bit of a rough time lately with mostly losses in the last seven games, but still lead their conference in the league.

Opposing team Ducks young Swedish rookie and forward Leo Carlson did not come to game against Vancouver. He was injured in the third period against the Seattle Kraken on Thursday, and Sunday’s game was the second in which he did not participate due to the injury.

According to the club, he has an upper body injury.
