New Soulslike turns you into an Italian puppet master, announces the release date in the trailer

A new Soulslike on Steam has been inspiring for a long time with its fresh concept based around Italian folklore. Now a new trailer shows the official release date.

What is this game about? Enotria is a new soulslike that is heavily inspired by Italian folklore. Unlike most games in this genre, it uses a less gloomy setting, but instead takes you to colorful and sunny areas that are reminiscent of warm Italy.

The world and residents of Enotria are caught in an eternal game that causes an unnatural standstill. You take on the role of the “maskless” and insert your soul into an otherwise lifeless doll to take control.

Free from a prescribed role, you collect different masks that give you a wide variety of abilities and thus become the “mask of change” in the fight against the eternal game.

When does it appear? Enotria is scheduled to appear on Steam, Playstation 5 and Xbox on June 21, 2024.

The trailer also announces a Deluxe Edition, which will include DLC, various extras, skin sets and an art book. This edition also allows you to play the game 72 hours earlier.

What else does the trailer show? The trailer doesn’t show any new gameplay, but it does give another insight into the lore of Enotria. You see the lifeless doll that you put your soul into, hanging over rubble and opening its eyes.

You will then see how your doll fights against different opponents and changes his mask to adapt to the situation. One of these enemies is a creature with huge horns, a golden mask, and glowing eyes.

The trailer also shows you various locations that await you in Enotria. In addition to ruins inspired by ancient Italy, you can also see a place reminiscent of a church. There you will also see a mysterious figure stretching its arms expectantly into the sky.
