In addition to the Spider-Man films with Tom Holland, a new animated series has been planned for years to come to Disney+. The plot of the series is said to revolve around a version of Holland’s character in an alternate universe shoot, although the superhero here is not spoken by the star himself.
There is still no update for the start of the new Spider-Man series. It has now been revealed that the animated production has a different title.
New Spider-Man series for Disney+ has a new title
As The Direct reports, the upcoming Marvel production is now officially called Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Previously it was known as Spider-Man: Freshman Year.
We recently received the rather worrying report about the animated Spider-Man series that the development status of production could be affected by Marvel layoffs. So far there is no official information about this. The Direct speculates that Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man could only be designed for one season from the outset. Nobody knows exactly what the animated Spider-Man series will be about.
What is the status of Spider-Man 4?
So far, a fourth Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland is not part of the current MCU plan. Sony boss Amy Pascal has at least already spoken about the fact that there will be more films with the star. However, there is no more concrete information yet.
