A new high-voltage station must be built north of Utrecht, among other places. That station is between 5 and 6 hectares in size, approximately ten football fields. Tennet and Stedin are currently looking for a suitable location. That is quite a challenge, because almost the entire area is part of the Dutch Waterline, and is therefore a UNESCO world heritage site. However, the station must be located there, so that connections can be made to Baarn and Soest, for example.
