At the end of November, work will begin on renewing water and sewer lines on Trädgårdsgatan, Brunnsgatan and Fabriksgatan. The project is the second of three parts in the water and sewage renewal that will be carried out in the west of Jönköping, where the municipality is replacing pipes that are 120-135 years old
Accessibility on the three streets and connecting streets will be affected because the space for road users is limited, the municipality writes on its website. The work will continue until June 2023. After that, work above ground will begin and then work will begin to convert parts of Trädgårdsgatan into a pedestrian street and in the same block it will also become a pedestrian street, which means that cars can drive at low speed.
