Emil Forsberg is not only one of Sweden’s absolute best soccer players. He is also one of the most genuine, and his club heart is huge, and he has shown that many times over the years. Despite being a star player in the Bundesliga, he certainly doesn’t forget his former teams.
Forsberg’s incredible gesture
Over the years, Forsberg has shown great generosity against favorite team Gif Sundsvall, but also Modo, who recently made it to the SHL after a dramatic qualifying final win against Djurgården. Now Foppa has once again proven how much he cares about his favorite team at home in Sweden, with a fantastic gesture towards the “Giffarna”.
On Twitter, Gif Sundsvall’s supporter club Patronnerna writes that they suddenly received a message from Forsberg regarding the supporters’ upcoming away trip to Gävle in the Superettan.
“Yesterday we received a message from Emil Forsberg, he asked if the bus to Gävle has been paid for.
That’s it, we replied. And fully booked.
– I will gladly pay for your trip, Emil then replies.
Today there was a swish with the sum for the bus, SEK 15,000!”, they write.

Highly praised
The supporters’ club believes that this now means that you do not lose money on the trip, and that you constantly try to keep prices down so that as many people as possible can follow the team away.
“We are incredibly grateful for Emil’s contribution, and replied that the money that the travelers have paid in will be directly earmarked for the tifokassan. This means that instead of losing SEK 5,000 on the trip, we will receive approx. SEK 10,000 for the tifokassan!”, they write.
The cartridges end with a big thank you to Emil – and also come with a real tribute.
