A few days already since Alan Wake 2 was released commercially, and in addition to enjoying excellent press, the Remedy Entertainment title also seems to be well placed in the GOTY 2023 race. On the side of the Finnish studio, we are already thinking following, and we learn that post-launch content is already planned. To begin with, there will be a NewGame Plus mode, well appreciated by players, and which will introduce a new difficulty, Nightmare by its name, knowing that we will keep all the arsenal and equipment that we will have unlocked in the first run. But that’s not all, it is specified that the New Game Plus will offer an “altered” scenario with new documents to recover and new videos to watch.
A little later in the year, in spring 2024, we will be able to enjoy the first DLC called “Night Springs” and will play on the TV series that we see in the game on television sets. This means that the adventure will take the form of an episodic format, will undoubtedly introduce new characters from the game and will play on the alteration between fiction and reality. As for the second DLC, called “The Lake House”, it will deal with a small group which has settled on the banks of the Bright Falls lake and which many think is the FBC of Control, this federal organization responsible for to investigate paranormal events. Since Alan Wake 2 already refers to Control in its main adventure, there is a good chance that the two universes will officially coexist together in this second DLC. On the other hand, no release date for “Lake House” whose production began recently. We therefore hope for more fights than the main plot.
